Music & Worship
Give Thanks and Sing Praises.

Worship is the central act of the Christian community.
Music & Worship
We gather weekly to be nourished and fed by Word and Sacrament before being sent back into the world to serve others. We gather to be reminded that we are beloved children of God, united as one body in Christ. All are welcome here.

About Our Pipe Organ
“Music is a fair and glorious gift of God.” – Martin Luther
Built by the Schantz Organ Company, St. Philip the Deacon’s pipe organ is a three-manual instrument of 51 ranks and 3,072 pipes — some no larger than a pencil, others nearly 18 feet tall. Designed primarily to lead congregational worship, it draws from every family of organ tone and is capable of a wide range of literature, from historic to contemporary. The console is movable, and the instrument is built to serve generations of worshipers to come.
Music at St. Philip the Deacon doesn’t begin and end with the organ — but the organ is a pretty good place to start.

Christian Wisdom
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”
C.S. Lewis
