Join SPD Outdoors for a time of faith, fellowship, fun and fishing at the 10th Annual SPD Outdoors Winter Fishing Retreat on beautiful Lake of the Woods, February 1-4, 2024.
Located 5 1/2 hours (315 miles) north of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, Lake of the Woods has built a reputation over the years as one of the premier fishing lakes in the country. Pairing scenery, location and a diverse and healthy fishery, the lake boasts trophy-size Walleye, as well as Sauger, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch.
Accommodations and guide service will be provided by Border View Lodge in Baudette, MN. Border View is located where the Rainy River enters Lake of the Woods. This SPD Outdoors adventure includes two full days of fishing in one of their toasty warm fish houses. Heated porta-potties are also available. The guides at Border View Lodge are constantly moving their fish house to stay on top of big schools of Walleye. You can expect to fish anywhere from a couple miles to 25 miles out on Lake of the Woods.

We will be carpooling to Border View Lodge – (315 miles, 5 1/2 hours) Those riding with another participant will share in the cost of gasoline.

*To reduce the overall cost of the trip, SPD Outdoors will be providing all meals on this fishing adventure. Cost does not include Minnesota fishing license, transportation/gas, or gratuities.
