School Shoes for Great Kids
“In the name of God I greet you, in the name of God who has all the power. At the same time I want to say thank you for the support you have given me for 3 years. I ask God to always give you good health, to always help the less fortunate. Thank you. May God bless you.” – Alexandra Joseph, age 12
“Today is a pleasure for me to write this letter. I feel really happy you made this big commitment. I will not deny that it is because of your good grace that I am going to school this year. You know how this country is; the parents have nothing in their hands, no jobs — and you chose to help me. For this I would like to say thank you. – Herly Charles, age 12
Each spring, St. Philip the Deacon collects black dress shoes for these great kids in Haiti. It’s time again for us to collect shoes for these children. This year, you can opt to sponsor a child’s gift for $33—which will help cover the shoes, food, personal care items and shipping. Our deadline to collect all the shoes, supplies and funds is the end of May. Bring your items to Fellowship Hall, or make your financial gift with “Haiti Project” in the memo line. At this time we still need more shoes for girls, in a variety of women’s sizes. Contact Cindy Carlson for more information.
