DESCRIPTION:Bible Art Journaling will take place the 3rd Saturday of each month\, beginning September 17 and continuing through April 15 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be no meeting in December. \nNo experience necessary and friends are welcome! Each gathering will include instructions for a new technique as well as a prompt for documenting your faith. Bring your own Journaling Bible (or purchase one at your first session) and any supplies from home that you love. Fee is $7 per session and covers all materials. Please click here to register since space is limited and so we can ensure enough materials. \nWhat is Bible Art Journaling? Join us as we meditate on scripture while we draw\, doodle and color in the margins of our Bibles as a devotional practice. Each session will begin with a brief devotion followed by a short tutorial on a new technique. No experience necessary and friends are welcome! All supplies are provided though participants are welcome to bring their favorites from home. Bring your own Bible or purchase a Bible designed for art journaling which will be available at each session. Come and experience God and God’s Word in a creative way as we document our faith! DESCRIPTION:Sept. 28\, Oct. 5\, 12\, 19\, 26 and Nov. 2\, at 7pm – Click here to register online \nSDP has trained over 35 lay ministers over the past six years to be the hands and feet of Christ in our faith community. Lay ministers share the love of Christ with our homebound members and those in need. They develop relationships with others by walking alongside them to show them they are remembered and loved. This fall\, our lay ministry training class will delve into various topics such as Deep Listening\, Prayer\, Sympathy vs. Empathy\, Compassion\, Dementia\, Communion\, and Healing. Participants will gain knowledge \, confidence and skills in all these areas from experts in the field\, SPD Pastors and SPD’s Parish Nurse. These tools can be used in your everyday life\, too. Our need for lay ministers has increased as our population has aged and people seek more caring connections through their faith community. DESCRIPTION:Sept. 28\, Oct. 5\, 12\, 19\, 26 and Nov. 2\, at 7pm – Click here to register online \nSDP has trained over 35 lay ministers over the past six years to be the hands and feet of Christ in our faith community. Lay ministers share the love of Christ with our homebound members and those in need. They develop relationships with others by walking alongside them to show them they are remembered and loved. This fall\, our lay ministry training class will delve into various topics such as Deep Listening\, Prayer\, Sympathy vs. Empathy\, Compassion\, Dementia\, Communion\, and Healing. Participants will gain knowledge \, confidence and skills in all these areas from experts in the field\, SPD Pastors and SPD’s Parish Nurse. These tools can be used in your everyday life\, too. Our need for lay ministers has increased as our population has aged and people seek more caring connections through their faith community. For questions\, contact Susan Path\, SPD Parish Nurse at spath@spdlc.org. \nSarah Ciavarri will be joining us for 3 upcoming classes open to the entire congregation during the Lay Ministry Training.. Sarah is a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator through Brene Brown\, a Board Certified Chaplain\, and a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
