Thursday, June 8th from 9:30am – 2:00pm

We will travel by bus to the Lyndale Park, Peace Garden, a designated International Peace site. We will tour the garden with the head gardener, sit by the Spirit of Peace Sculpture and explore the ancient healing art of origami cranes and the story of Sadako Sakshi’s 1,000 Cranes. Look forward to a wonderful spot for lunch and be surprised by other explorations in the park. This is a follow through on the Restore 3 Series on Exploring Your Story. Hosts Susan Path, Parish Nurse and Pastor Valerie. Depart from church at 9:30 am, return to church 2 pm.

Cost: $20.  Lunch will be paid individually at the restaurant.

“The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing . . . not healing, not curing . . . that is a friend who cares.”
